About Us

ASIX s.r.o. was founded in 1991, based in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, a member of the European Union. We provide complete electronic design, any volume manufacturing, device and development tool sales and consultant services.

ASIX has a wide range of experience in electronics:

• Microcontrollers: Microchip PIC (since 1992), Atmel AVR, ARM and Cyan eCOG1
• Programmable logic: Xilinx FPGA and CPLD devices (since 1991)
• USB: FTDI interface chips - distributor, PLX/NetChip, Philips
• Analog and digital electronics, A/D, D/A, signal conditioning, ...
• Interfaces: USB (incl. 2.0 High Speed), Ethernet, LPT, COM, PS/2 keyboard, PCI, wireless, cable TV, M-Bus, ...

ASIX has developed hundreds of designs, components and final products which include:

• Development tools for electronic engineers (www.asix-tools.com): in-circuit emulators, programmers, starter kits
• Instrumentation: high speed, large memory special data loggers
• Industrial, telemetry, communication, automotive, medical, consumer equipment, ...

ASIX has started with Xilinx programmable logic devices in 1991 and has developed hundreds of designs ranging from simple CPLDs to high density FPGAs.

ASIX has had experience with Microchip PIC MCUs since 1992. We develop and manufacture "third party" development tools for PIC MCUs - emulators, programmers, development boards, educational boards and other debugging equipment. We provide PIC training courses for beginners. Our educational packages are used in high schools and universities as an excellent teaching and learning tool. We provide hot-line support of Microchip products users who benefit from our experience gained by everyday PIC usage.. ASIX has been a Microchip Consultant Program member since 1997. We have achieved the MASTER grade certification level.

ASIX not only distributes FTDI USB easy-to-use interface chips but also develops popular modules and other products making USB implementation easy and affordable.
